Registration & Tryouts > Age Group Requirements New swimmers must meet the following age group requirements, as assed by the coach.Speedy 6ers Swim entire length of the pool (25 yards). Be able to follow verbal instructions while in the pool. 8 and Under Swim freestyle with side breathing for the length of the pool (25 yards). Swim backstroke for the length of the pool (25 yards). Swim legal breast or butterfly for the length of the pool (25 yards). Dive into the pool with streamline. 10 and Under Swim freestyle with flip-turns and streamline for 4 lengths of the pool (100 yards). Swim backstroke with legal finish for the length of the pool (25 yards). Swim breaststroke with underwater pullout for the length of the pool (25 yards). Swim butterfly for the length of the pool (25 yards). Dive into the pool with streamline. 11 and Up Swim freestyle with flip-turns and streamline for 4 lengths of the pool (100 yards). Swim backstroke with legal start, turns, & finish for 2 lengths of the pool (50 yards). Swim breaststroke with underwater pullout for 2 lengths of the pool (50 yards). Swim butterfly for 2 lengths of the pool (50 yards). Swim a legal IM (100 yards). Dive into the pool with streamline. |
